    A social services organization in New York City has a great opportunity awaiting a new Human Resource Coordinator. In this role, the Human Resource Coordinator will be responsible for administering day-to-day operation of HR-related activity and related documentation.

    Responsibilities:

    The Human Resource Coordinator will:

    • Review incoming correspondence and routes within the department accordingly
    • Coordinate with Talent Acquisition to ensure that new hires receive and complete New Hire Orientation paperwork and completes all required onboarding paperwork
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
    • Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
    • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
    • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
    • Send termination paperwork to exiting employees
    • Oversee, complete, and coordinate all Employment Verifications and Employee Record requests, coordinating with Payroll and Legal departments as needed
    • Manage data in accordance with the company's record retention policies and procedures and state and federal laws and regulations
    • Complete special projects, as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of related Human Resources experience
    • Ability to lead and conduct all aspects of complex workplace investigations
    • Working knowledge of Employment Laws and Regulations
    • Strong skills in effectively conducting investigatory interviews
    • Microsoft Office proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, etc.)
    • Solid analytical and problem solving skills
    • Great interpersonal skills
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Highly organized

    Desired Skills:

    • 4+ years of related Human Resources experience
    • Experience in a Union environment
    • Experience with Employee Relations / Complaint Investigations (or related experience)
    • Healthcare industry, higher education, and/or Public Sector experience
