    Job Summary

    Currently seeking a full-time construction

    Project Engineer


    with strong technical abilities that assists the entire project staff with all aspects of the construction process including but not limited to contract management, document control, coordination with project team (owner, A/E consultants, subcontractors, material suppliers, etc.), cost tracking, assisting with the assembly and distribution of all required project documents.

    Responsibilities

    Assisting Project Managers and Superintendents with execution of project including the overall project planning, scheduling all the way through on-site activities
    Documentation and review of project accounting, control, submittal packages, scheduling changes, RFI's, change orders, etc.
    Estimating extra work, correspondences with customers or vendors, expediting, labor cost reporting, and scheduling
    Tracking quantities
    Ordering all materials needed for job sites
    Assist in the compilation of costs including materials purchased and labor.
    Assist with tracking of project progress and work production and quantification.
    Observe and inspect work for compliance with project requirements.
    Preparing and sending submittals and other forms of communication
    Facilitates project logistics such as meetings, conference rooms, conference calls, etc
    Takes meeting minutes and action items during meetings and performs basic follow-up
    Participate in safety reviews and inspections and assist in assuring compliance with company policies and site safety requirements.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in a Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field or an associate degree
    Two years of related experience preferred but not required.
    Ability to travel to job sites in the Tri-county area.
    Strong computer skills are required.
    Proficient organizational and problem-solving skills
    Ability to use specialized software for collaboration and time management, including spreadsheets
    Experience with inventory control and process improvement
    Strong time management and analytical skills
    Proven leadership skills
    Strong communication skills

    The Location

    Headquartered in Sterling Heights, Michigan, however the jobsite, onsite location, will be in southeast Michigan area.
