    Description
    Job Title: Parts Specialist
    Pay Rate: $21 hourly
    Location: Brownsburg, IN

    Job Duties:
    • Sort incoming parts and put them away to designated storage locations in the warehouse or the outside storage areas using Oracle Cloud for Receiving and Putaway function
    • Pick parts based on released pick slips and work orders, following our guiding principle of "ensuring that the physical movement of parts is always in sync with the pick slip flow and hence the movement of parts in our system"
    • Prepare and pick selected item requested by areas/fleet via transfer order/work order and work closely with the material transfer team to assemble and build kits in the system, so they are readily available for picking following inventory requirements
    • Ship orders via Badger preferred small package and freight carriers
    • Process returns from areas/fleet following the set return procedure
    • Support the implementation of lean manufacturing and material handling practices (e.g. Kanban replenishment) to drive material efficiencies
    • Communicate any material shortages to the procurement team for timely resolution
    • Stock and maintain inventory in parts trailer for Badger Emergency Relief work
    • Support and participates in frequent cycle counts and annual inventory counts
    • Work closely with areas, fleet, engineering, and supply chain personnel
    • Carry out other duties and projects related to inventory as assigned
    Requirements:

    • Steel-toed shoes
    • Positive, customer-focused attitude
    • Great work ethics: taking ownership of one's work, being reliable and accountable, and demonstrating ability to work independently
    • Eagerness to learn and embrace change
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and keep on top of priority tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Basic understanding of supply chain management and the impact of materials flows on supply chain success
    • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently
    • Good problem-solving skills and great attention to detail in all areas of work
    • Good computer literacy, including a good working knowledge of Excel and Outlook and the ability to learn job-related computer programs
    • Great interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
    • Working experience in Material Handling role, 1 year minimum preferred
    • Working knowledge of warehouse operations and safe packing methods
    • Willingness to follow Badger's best practices with a focus on 'Best Operator, Best Truck'
    • Must possess and exhibit strong safety acumen
    • Valid driver's license and good driving record
    • Forklift certification or the ability to become certified
    • Knowledge of shipping procedures
    • Ability to lift heavier objects (up to 50 lbs)
    • Ability to adapt to the elements of work in the yard
    • Demonstrated good attendance and punctuality
    • Pre-screening, 7-year BG, in-house drug test
