    Description

    We have an exciting opportunity for IR Technologists (IR Tech) in Charleston, SC. If you have 1 year of recent acute care experience, this might be the right fit for you! Take a look at the requirements below:

    • Operate the fluoroscopic equipment and assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures
    • Prepare and observe patients during procedures
    • Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients
    • Assist in scrubbing diagnostic and interventional procedures
    • Monitor patients throughout procedures
    • Demonstrate knowledge of radiation protection standards and techniques
    • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
    • Maintain accurate patient records

    If you are a detail-oriented IR Tech with the required certifications and experience, we want to hear from you. Read on for more details:

    • Must have 1 year of experience
    • Hold BLS, ACLS, and AART National certifications
    • Possess a Certificate of Vascular-Interventional Radiology (VI) or Cardiac-interventional Radiology (CI)
    • Hold state-specific licensing when required

    IR Techs must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology is essential.

    Requirements*:
    BLS, ARRT (VI), 2 Years. Additional certifications may be required before starting an assignment.
