Job summary
The Instrument Technician is an hourly position responsible for troubleshooting electrical/electronic industrial plant equipment.The employee maintains, constructs, installs, repairs and calibrates any plant electrical, instrument and metering equipment.
The technician works from information obtained from engineering drawings and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot systems and perform original layouts and circuit designs.
The employee completes records and reports using the Computerized Maintenance System (CMMS).
- Must be able to read electrical/electronic blueprints.
- Must be able to use different types of electrical meters associated with the task to troubleshoot electrical/electronic problems
