    Job DescriptionDescription:

    Reports to the Chief Engineer. This position is to service the electronic maintenance needs of Kenneth Copeland Ministries, primarily the News Studio and Media Processing Center and its associated equipment. TV studio/remote engineering operations will also be assigned as needed. Work projects will be assigned by the Chief Engineer, however, under most circumstances, the employee should be able to work independently once assigned a project or location. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Do preventative and corrective electronic maintenance on a wide range of audio and video equipment including, but not limited to: Switchers, News Production Automation equipment, and all types of Recording Equipment. Studio and portable broadcast cameras, video recorders of various formats, various types of video equipment, video and audio mixing, processing, distribution, and monitoring equipment.
    • Perform engineering and operational duties, which will be primarily, but not necessarily limited to: News Control Room and Studio equipment, camera setup, and video quality for news productions.
    • Assist with other studios, control room, and events as needed or assigned.
    • Oversee the setup, maintenance, and operational condition of the news production equipment and report to the Chief Engineer any issues that have to be addressed. Also oversee the quality of the final video product coming to and from the news production facility.
    Requirements:

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    • High school graduate, plus additional technical training or equivalent experience in the electronic field
    • Seven years minimum experience at a news production facility, experience with operation and maintenance of professional broadcast news production equipment.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    • An understanding of how to troubleshoot news production systems is required.
    • Must be able to understand operation manuals to setup and maintain news production systems.
    • Requires an operating knowledge of test equipment including but not limited to signal generators, waveform monitors, and IP based equipment.

    EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:

    • Signal generators, Waveform monitors, IP based equipment, Servers, Fiber Equipment, and any other technology required to achieve the goals.

    TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Be able to lift at least 70lbs. Be able to work long hours as needed.

    TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS:

    • Be able to handle last-minute changes, high expectations, and next-to-impossible task requested to be done quickly.

    OTHER:

    • Born again believer and must adhere to the doctrines of this organization as upheld by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and their appointed representatives
    • Must work well with others, as a team and according to Romans 16:17, must not cause dissension, difficulties and divisions
    • Must maintain a good attendance record
    • Membership and attendance at EMIC are preferred
    • Because of the wide range of personal contact with ministry leaders within and outside the organization, this position requires considerable diplomacy, maturity, and excellent communication skills
