    Description

    Job Overview

    Northstar Behavioral Health Network is a team of professionals dedicated to serving individuals struggling with substance use disorders, including Opioid Use Disorder and Stimulant Use Disorder. They also specialize in Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS).

    Key Responsibilities

    • Full-time or part-time positions available.
    • Outpatient services are not operational on holidays; 7 paid holidays are provided.

    Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor Duties

    • Provide clinical services and document accordingly, adhering to NBH policies, procedures, and governing body standards.
    • Coordinate care with internal teams (Nursing, Mental Health Providers, Treatment Coordinators, and Peer Recovery Support Specialists) and external entities (Department of Corrections, court, probation, child protective services, other providers) to enhance client recovery outcomes.
    • Attend scheduled meetings: clinical, multidisciplinary, individual, etc.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of core competencies related to co-occurring disorders through continuing education and implement skills into all aspects of treatment.
    • Complete tasks assigned by the supervisor.
    • Average client satisfaction results from clients per month is 4.
    • Outpatient group attendance exceeds 90% (billable units) per track.
    • Ensure compliance changes delivered by auditor are implemented within one week.
    • Client retention per month is higher than 50%

    Requirements

    • Valid LADC/ADC-T licensure in the state of MN.
    • 1+ years of addiction counseling experience.
    • Comprehensive understanding of all MN Statutes related to providing services for the population NBHN serves.
    • CPR/First Aid Certification or obtain within 30 days of employment.
    • Pass a background check.
    • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
    • Strong computer skills, including knowledge in MS Office and Google Suite programs.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Familiarity with medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder.
    • Specialty training such as DBT-SUD, CBT, MI, etc.
    • Experience with Procentive, Electronic Health Record System.
