    Summary:

    The Hershey Company Robinson plant is a non-union plant producing products such as PayDay, Heath, Skor, Milk Duds, Whoppers, Reese's Pieces, Zero, Brookside Fruit Crunchy, & Scharffen Berger, in a high-speed complex environment. We currently have an immediate opening for an Instrumentation and Controls Technician Electrician. Overtime and weekend work will be required.

    Pay:

    * Starting pay rate: $36.96 per hour

    * $1.00 additional shift premium for working 2nd or 3rd shift hours

    * $4000 Sign-On Bonus

    Shifts:

    We require that you are flexible to work any shift, weekends, overtime, and holidays.

    * We are currently looking to hire on later shifts.

    * Schedule assignments upon hire are determined by plant needs and will be discussed during the interview process.

    Responsibilities:

    Safely install, maintain, diagnose, repair, remove, and adjust electrical equipment. Maintain complex systems embodying electronic and electro-mechanical principles including PLC's and servos. This position does require mechanical work in addition to electrical and instrumentation work. Effectively communicate with the operators, mechanics, engineers, and supervisors.

    Qualifications:

    • Understand and troubleshoot electrical control systems
    • Be able to program and troubleshoot PLC based systems
    • Read and interrupt wiring diagrams, schematics, and other written specifications
    • Have working knowledge of the National Electrical Code
    • Maintain the areas, tool and equipment in a clean and proper manner
    • Follow Good Manufacturing Procedures, Plant Safety regulations, Quality Control Standards, and Plant Policies
    • Have a working knowledge of basic computer skills, knowledge of SAP maintenance management helpful
    • Under close supervision connect distribution equipment
    • Service, clean, and inspect equipment periodically following established PM's
    • Have working knowledge of AC/DC distribution systems up to and including 480 v / 3 phase and their corresponding sub systems

    Education and experience:

    • Minimum associates degree in electronics technology or closely related field
    • Bachelor's degree preferred
    • Minimum 2 years industrial experience
    • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC's strongly desired
