- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of pertinent engineering experience.
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, including precise tolerance analysis.
- Expertise in mechanical design for plastic and/or metal construction, with a focus on mass production feasibility (mold/assembly tooling design).
- Proven track record in transforming engineering concepts into functional prototypes.
- Adept at creating detailed mechanical computer-aided design (MCAD) models and drawings, utilizing Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Skilled in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural and thermal assessments.
- Hands-on experience with CNC machining or CNC part design.
- Familiarity with injection molding or design of injection molded parts.
- Hands-on familiarity with failure analysis related to design or manufacturing processes.
- Ability to document test plans, reports, and technical evaluations.
- Lead the design, optimization, realization, and integration of components and tooling for cutting-edge medical ultrasound transducers.
- Develop designs with a focus on user and business requirements, compliance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Integrate existing and acquired elements into medical ultrasound transducers and manufacturing processes.
- Finalize design and integration; establish and execute verification plans for components and tooling.
- Conduct testing, analysis, and validation of design quality.
- Collaborate with R&D, Product Industrialization, and operations teams to enhance current manufacturing processes and introduce new innovations.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation in compliance with established process guidelines.
