    Job Description:
    An integrated healthcare system at the forefront of transformation, is seeking a Controller. The Controller role is pivotal. This leader is responsible for ensuring the performance and integrity of the financial operations at the health plan. This includes overseeing all accounting and financial control systems, and adhering to GAAP and statutory accounting standards.

    The Controller also manages general accounting and statutory reporting, accounts payable and accounts receivable, cash collections, ASO, and premium billing.

    Additionally, they play a key role in the annual audit, regulatory report filing, year-end tax filings and treasury functions. This is a retained search.


    Responsibilities:


    Provide leadership and vision for the accounting division, including the following functions: general accounting, audit, accounts payable, claim and capitation payments, cash management, premium and ASO billing.

    Provide oversight and management of all the health plans and related entities external regulatory and tax reporting, implementation of new or enhanced reporting requirements, and analysis of the impact of potential new requirements created by regulators or by possible changes in the organizations structure.

    Create a culture of accountability and achievement through leadership that promotes collaboration, continuous improvementand teamwork within finance and across the organization.

    Develop an appropriate information network to ensure compliance with regulatory rules and to provide appropriate foresight into new developments to determine their impact on the health plan.

    Maintain open communication with all senior executives, including areas with matrixed oversight of functional processes (claims, finance, IT).Ensure diversity, equity and inclusion are integrated as a guiding principle.


    Requirements:
    10+ years of accounting experience5+ years at a regional health plan or other health insurance organizationBreadth of knowledge in government plans (Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, etc.) and commercial programs (individual, groupand self-funded/ASO)Expertise in people leadership, coaching and developmentBachelors degree in accounting and CPA designation#J-18808-Ljbffr
