Medical Assistant

Assignment: Temp to possible hire

Schedule: 40 hours full time
2 days are 12hr shifts, 2 days are 8hr shifts (4 days total)
Clinic hours:
M-Th 8am-9pm (employees 7.30am-9.30pm)
F 9am-6pm (employees 8.30am - 6.30pm)
S+S 9am-5pm (employees pm)

Client has asked that when clearing Candidates please ask the following:

1. Do you have MA certificate or have you completed an MA program (required)?
2. Do you have a CPR license and when does it need to be renewed?
3. Do you have access to reliable transportation?
4. Do you have any planned vacation or time off in the next 3 months?
5. Are you bilingual (Spanish/English), comfortable speaking on a professional level?
6. Do you have a copy of your HS diploma or GED?

*Candidates must have a diploma/ Certificate from an MA program and a valid CPR/BLS to be considered

Seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Medical Assistant. Medical Assistants are responsible for interviewing patients, recording medical history, confirming purpose of visit and assisting the clinician with patient care.
Prepares patients for visit by taking blood pressure, weight and temperature; and reports pertinent information in medical records.

• Must be able to don appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Performs electrocardiography (EKG)
• Performs ear irrigations
• Performs throat cultures
• Collects urinalysis
• Conducts flu testing
• Conducts glucose testing
• Conducts international normalized ratio (INR) testing
• Ensures that results of all tests and procedures performed are available in medical records.
• Determines equipment needs visit and sets up exam rooms accordingly.
• Assists clinicians with treatments and dressings.
• Translates for clinicians.

Requirements
Qualifications:

• Bilingual, English and Spanish required.
• Certified in CPR
• Graduate of a medical assistant program
