    Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists looking to work in the vicinity of Lake Tahoe Soliant has partnered with a school district in Gardnerville, NV--just 30 minutes from the lake--and is seeking a contract SLP for the remainder of the school year.

    With the Sierra Nevada mountain range as a back drop, this town affords access to great skiing during the winter, and an array of trail options during the warmer months.

    This is a moderately sized school system, with 7 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, and 3 high schools. Applicants will be working with K-12 students and perform the following duties:

    • Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs.
    • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders.
    • Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
    • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
    • Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
    • Provide reports of a student's progress to parents.
    • Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school.
    • Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.

    • Up-to-date knowledge of Nevada Special Education procedures and best practices for SLPs in school settings
    • Professionalism and accountability

    Requirements:

    • Nevada SLP license
    • Department of Education certification as an SLP
