**SCOPE OF POSITION:**
The Planning Supervisor leads a capacity planning team to plan and monitor our organization's operating limits and capacities. Forecasts and plans capacity requirements to align with production schedules, resource levels, and inventory demand. Identifies and troubleshoots production issues or bottlenecks that impact plant capacity.
Coordinates with internal stakeholders to understand advance planning and develop responsive capacity forecasting. Utilizes production metrics and manufacturing research to develop insights on processes or equipment and recommend improvements.

+ Lead a team of production planners and coordinators, providing guidance, support, and training, as necessary.
+ Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging open communication and a commitment to excellence.
+ Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
+ Manage and allocate resources effectively, including staffing needs, materials, and equipment, to meet production targets.
+ Work closely with the procurement team to ensure prompt availability of raw materials and components.
+ Liaise with various departments, including production, logistics, and maintenance, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
+ Provide regular updates to management on production progress, challenges, and opportunities.
+ Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, resource utilization, and on-time delivery.
+ Develop and implement strategies to address any performance gaps and improve overall operational effectiveness.
**Qualifications**
**KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION:** (Minimum Education and/or Experience required)
+ 3 or more years experience in a manufacturing/production planning role or related experience. Previous supervisory experience is a significant plus.
+ High school diploma/GED
