The Security Officer I reflects the mission, vision, values of NM adheres to organization's Code of Ethics Corporate Compliance Program complies with all relevant policies procedures guidelines regulatory accreditation standards.Under direction of Security Leadership this position responsible for adhering established policies procedures protect hospital theft damage provide protection patients visitors Associates medical staff investigate quell disturbances restrain patients upon proper direction assistance medical clinical staff.
Investigates/quells hospital incidents disturbances maintain patient visitor employee security completes descriptive reports supervisory personnel notifies appropriate city officials police fire prepares descriptive reports supervisory personnel performs regular perimeter internal patrols hospital buildings grounds assure protection patients property prevent entry unauthorized persons hospital these patrols both foot mobile conducts investigations incidents hazardous conditions reported theft criminal activity security safety issues reported monitors access control system fire duress alarms security video system controls traffic necessary assure access emergency vehicles access patients visitors accordingly controls traffic necessary incidents helicopter transports maintains security restricted areas checking locking doors pre-set schedules required special circumstances provides escorts staff vehicles requested delivers deceased bodies morgue releases authorized persons established policies responds emergency codes department specific guidelines alerts department Manager activities deviation departmental standards require disciplinary action follow-up enforces all hospital policies procedures directed officers display competent professional service image yet approachable service minded times image encourage people freely ask assistance convey information allow officer prevent problems reduce exposure hospital damage loss conducts contraband searches patient employee safety needed monitors individuals situations ensure patient employee safety needed oversees staff parking permit process monitors compliance per established policy procedure performs other related duties assigned.
