The Housing Rehabilitation Specialist is responsible for technical support in the rehabilitation of homes participating in the County's housing programs; preparing work write-ups, preliminary cost estimates, specifications, and bid documents, inspecting overall work progress and final and follow-up inspections; receiving bids and negotiating contracts; preparing change orders and amendments between homeowners and bidders; completing relevant work to resolve complaints; preparing progress reports and requests for payment on cases; certifying compliance to contracts, local state, and federal codes; ensuring required warranties and permits are provided by contractor
