- Assisting with personal care functions such as bathing, toileting, dressing, eating, walking and transferring activities
- Shopping and preparing food according to specified diet. Feeding and other duties, as assigned by plan of care
- Taking temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure
- Housekeeping - changing bed linens, dusting, vacuuming, washing dishes and laundry
- Documenting care and reporting significant observations
- Escorting Client/Ambulatory Assistance - accompany client to physician appointments and medical facilities; assist client with rehabilitation exercises according to plan of care; assist with ambulation or transporting by wheelchair for outdoor activities.
- Certified Home Health Aide in NYS. Must have original certificate of training programs covered by the Core Curriculum and Health Related Tasks, as required by NYSDOH
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Experience in a home-health setting preferred
- Covid-19 vaccination

Look no further Susquehanna Home Health Care in Johnson City, NY is seeking HHAs (Home Health Aides) to become members of our elite team In this role, you will be an important member of our client care team and have an impact by assisting the client to regain self-confidence, as well as provide emotional and physical support.
A Home Health Aide provides personal care, nutrition and housekeeping assistance to clients in their homes, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. For a client's rehabilitation program, a HHA will be supervised by a professional therapist and coordinated by a staff Nurse. The HHA is permitted to perform certain basic nursing tasks and occasional advanced tasks with specific training and supervision.
