    Description

    Applied Resource Group is seeking a Sr.HVAC Technician, in the Asheville, NC area.

    Role and Responsibilities:

    1. Perform Preventative Maintenance Contracts: Conduct routine maintenance to ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and avoid breakdowns.
    2. Troubleshoot, Repair, and Maintain Light Commercial Equipment: Diagnose and fix issues with light commercial HVAC systems.
    3. Perform Scheduled Maintenance: Replace belts/filters and identify any anomalies in HVAC equipment during routine checks.
    4. Log HVAC Equipment: Maintain records of HVAC equipment condition, including refrigerant and electrical circuits.
    5. Brazing, Leak Checks, and Evacuation Process: Proficiency in brazing techniques, leak detection, and evacuation procedures for HVAC systems.
    6. Understanding of Commercial DX Equipment: Knowledge of various commercial HVAC systems, including split systems, heat pumps, water source heat pumps, etc.
    7. Complete Equipment Log Sheets: Document maintenance activities and upload them into the company database for record-keeping.
    8. Paperwork: Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time.
    9. Safe Work Practices: Adhere to basic safety protocols while performing HVAC tasks.
    10. Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the company.

    Qualifications and Education Requirements:

    1. Universal EPA Certification: Certification required for handling refrigerants.
    2. Understanding of Mechanical Drawings: Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and equipment specifications.
    3. Electrical Systems Troubleshooting: Proficiency in troubleshooting complex high and low-voltage electrical systems and reading wiring schematics.
    4. Knowledge of HVAC Equipment: Thorough understanding of various HVAC equipment, including large unitary packaged equipment, air handlers, chillers, compressors, etc.
    5. Airflow and Duct Design: Understanding of airflow for variable air volume systems and duct design.
    6. DDC Control Systems: Familiarity with Direct Digital Control (DDC) components and pneumatic systems.
    7. Refrigerant Cycle and Heating Components: Understanding of basic refrigerant cycle, heating components, and air distribution systems.
    8. Customer Communication: Ability to communicate technical issues to customers in understandable terms.
    9. Driver's License: Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
    10. Background Check: Must pass a background check.
