Position Title:

Behavioral Health Therapist (Inpatient Psych Youth & Adolescents)

Days - Full Time

Marillac Campus

About the Position:

The Behavioral Health Therapist plays a crucial role in providing safe and efficient care to patients of all ages and their families. The primary focus is on collaborating, communicating, and coordinating services during and after hospitalization as directed by the behavioral health care team.

Responsibilities:

Perform professional, clinical, and technical tasks within the assigned unit or department.
Take responsibility for achieving optimal outcomes within the scope of practice.
Maintain knowledge and competency relevant to the position's expectations.
Conduct psychosocial assessments and discharge planning.
Connect patients with community resources and support services.
Advocate for patients' access to services and rights.
Document all relevant information in patients' medical records.
Collaborate with the treatment team for timely patient discharge.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case management activities.
Provide coverage to other services as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Master's Degree in Social Work.
Licensure with the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board.
State of Kansas Social Work license.
Proficiency in reading and documenting in electronic medical records.
