    We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Lead Manager to join our Sync Licensing department. In this role, you will collaborate with the Director of Sync Licensing to handle all aspects of synchronization licensing and administrative functions for Downtown Music Publishing's extensive catalog.

    This position can be based in our New York, Los Angeles, or Nashville locations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage a dedicated team focused on handling synchronization quotes and licensing requests.
    • Negotiate synchronization terms and fees related to advertising, film, television, video games, and new media.
    • Work closely with the Client Services department to secure internal approvals for synchronization quote requests.
    • Review and issue synchronization quotes and license agreements, ensuring compliance with copyright and licensing standards.
    • Monitor and follow up on outstanding quotes, confirmed uses, and request cue sheets as necessary.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to enhance and streamline the quote approval process.
    • Identify and pursue opportunities to maximize the utilization of Downtown's diverse music catalog.
    • Effectively manage multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with licensing specifications.
    • Perform additional duties as required.

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience in music licensing, synchronization, or rights management, ideally within a music publisher, label, or third-party synchronization agency.
    • Proven experience supervising and mentoring a small team, including workflow management and performance oversight.
    • Thorough understanding of music publishing, sync licensing, and copyright issues.
    • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities with the capacity to prioritize and delegate effectively.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
    • Highly organized with keen attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
    • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

    The hiring range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 annually. Your salary and related compensation elements will depend on various factors such as work experience, geographic location, and relevant skills.
