Job summary

The School Psychologist plays a critical role in ensuring Atlas students receive high-quality, timely, and culturally responsive evaluations and supports.
This role is responsible for conducting psychoeducational assessments,
supporting special education eligibility determinations,
and partnering with educators and families to design effective instructional
and behavioral supports.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations across cognitive,
    academic, social-emotional, and behavioral domains.
  • Select administer score interpret standardized non-standardized assessment tools
    a timely manner ensure evaluations culturally responsive developmentally appropriate compliant IDEA Section 504 ADA state regulations determine eligibility special services contribute clear defensible eligibility decisions write comprehensive evaluation reports communicate findings recommendations instructional implications maintain accurate organized compliant student records assessment files adhere all state federal timelines Atlas documentation expectations participate actively IEP meetings reevaluations MTSS problem-solving team meetings clearly explain assessment data recommendations families teachers school staff collaborate teams develop appropriate goals accommodations services aligned student needs consult teachers administrators related service providers instructional strategies behavioral supports intervention planning support implementation evidence-based academic behavioral interventions prior evaluation assist teams interpreting data adjusting supports based progress making recommendations referrals special education maintain current knowledge special education law ethical standards best practices support compliance efforts related evaluation eligibility processes follow Atlas policies professional ethical standards recognizing limits referring appropriately contribute professional development staff related assessment behavior learning as needed stay current research emerging best practices continuously improve services systems required qualifications valid Missouri certification School Psychological Examiner School Psychologist Master degree higher Psychology School Psychology Education Counseling field demonstrated experience administering interpreting psychoeducational assessments strong knowledge IDEA Section 504 ADA compliance requirements ability communicate complex psychological information written verbal form strong organizational skills attention detail ability work collaboratively independently fast-paced school environment commitment educational equity serving students families city St Louis preferred qualifications doctoral degree School Psychology field experience working charter schools urban settings experience MTSS RTI problem-solving team models supporting school-wide behavior SEL initiatives core competencies student-centered equity-driven practice data-informed decision-making collaboration communication ethical judgment organization follow-through
