- Plan, develop, and execute monthly workshops focusing on the integration and application of robotics technologies in defense operations.
- Conduct research and development to advance robotics solutions that meet the specific needs of homeland defense.
- Contribute to academic publications exploring the state of robotics technology and its applications in defense settings.
- Prepare and deliver presentations summarizing key research findings and actionable strategies to senior leaders within the Department of Defense.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including cybersecurity experts, social theory specialists, and military personnel.
- Assist in securing grants and other funding opportunities relevant to robotics and defense research.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in robotics technology and research.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in robotics research and development, preferably in a defense or security setting.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C++, Python, or ROS.
- Familiarity with robotic hardware and software platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- SECRET clearance
- All SMEs must be available onsite for 7 out of 9 events and able to conduct some work pre and post-events (answer questions, help with publications, etc.)

Job DescriptionThis is a Contractor RoleJob SummaryAs a Robotics Expert, you'll be integral to our efforts to shape the homeland defense operational environment up to 2040. You will collaborate with U.S Army North (USARNORTH), U.S Special Operations Command - North, and the United States Special Operations Command to plan, develop, and lead monthly workshops in robotics as applied to defense operations. In addition, your research and insights will contribute to academic publications and presentations aimed at senior Department of Defense leaders. This role demands a strong technical background in robotics, a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, and the ability to work on interdisciplinary teams.
