    Executive Director, Marketing Strategy and Planning

    Location: Tampa, FL / Tallahassee, FL

    Department: Marketing Operations

    Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer

    Position Summary:
    The Executive Director, Marketing Strategy and Planning will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with our business goals and objectives. This position will play a critical role in shaping and driving Trulieve's marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility, engage customers, and drive business growth.

    Duties And Responsibilities:
    • Leads the development of the overall marketing strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
    • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing initiatives are integrated into the overall business plan.
    • Evaluates market conditions to identify trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities for growth.
    • Develops and implements a comprehensive marketing plan with clear objectives, target audience identification, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Drives the creation of marketing plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and budget parameters.
    • Works closely with executive leadership to provide insights and recommendations on market dynamics and potential business opportunities.
    • Collaborates with creative teams to develop compelling brand messaging and visual elements.
    • Monitors and evaluates brand performance, adjusting as needed to enhance brand equity.
    • Support localization and customization of the brand in different regions, elevating the product value proposition and brand positioning.
    • Leads the development and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty.
    • Provides key inputs to drive the overall media strategy and execution.
    • Works closely with the marketing team to ensure campaigns are executed effectively and deliver measurable results.
    • Analyzes campaign performance data to optimize future initiatives.
    • Responsible for the customer experience across all marketing channels through defined kpis and reporting.
    • Collaborates with retail sales, product development, cultivation, production and other departments to ensure marketing strategies align with overall business objectives.
    • Provides leadership and mentorship to the marketing team, promoting professional growth and development.
    • Fosters a creative and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork, professional growth, and knowledge sharing among team members.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    Knowledge And Skills:
    • Strong marketing and strategy fundamentals, including expertise in go-to-market strategies, brand positioning, consumer research, storytelling, and digital and media planning.
    • Ability to analyze product performance data, and understand features and benefits, to develop compelling brand messaging that resonates with the target audience.
    • Versatility in shifting between strategic planning and execution, developing implementation plans to ensure high-quality execution without a predefined playbook.
    • Proactive management of multiple priorities and teams in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment, with a creative mindset to explore innovative scaling opportunities.
    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across levels.
    • Familiarity with all marketing channels, trends and tools.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex issues and provide strategic counsel
    • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
    • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective engagement with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, adapting quickly to relate and collaborate.
    • Extensive expertise in advertising and creative development across all marketing channels and content.
    • Demonstrate creativity, bringing fresh and innovative ideas to marketing initiatives and strategies.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills-Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
    Experience And Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; required. Advanced degree preferred.
    • 10+ years in senior marketing role with a focus on strategy and planning, required.
    • Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective marketing campaigns.
    Salary will be commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available 'after hours' if an emergency situation should arise.
