    Description

    As the Onsite Hospitality Coordinator at Tesla Nevada Gigafactory, this role is crucial in managing and overseeing the food service operations at Tesla facilities in Sparks, Nevada, with a primary focus on cafes, food trucks, and catering. The coordinator will be responsible for ensuring an efficient, pleasant, and varied dining experience for Tesla staff and visitors. This role will require individuals to be on-site 8am - 3pm daily (Monday - Friday).

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Food Service Schedule Coordination and Support: Develop and manage schedules with various food vendors, ensuring diverse and appealing food options are available consistently, maintaining food vendor appearance, menu variety, and quality at all times.
    2. Site Management: Supervise food service areas, maintaining cleanliness, safety, and an inviting atmosphere with food vendor appearance and offerings.
    3. Vendor Relations: Serve as the main contact for all food service vendors, facilitating effective communication and resolving any issues or concerns.
    4. Compliance and Permits: Guarantee that all vendors comply with necessary permits and adhere to health and safety standards. Ensuring all cafes are permitted and up-to-date.
    5. Communication: Act as a liaison between food service vendors and Tesla staff, keeping everyone informed about schedules, changes, and special events through various communication channels.
    6. Event Coordination: Assist in organizing and coordinating food-related aspects of Tesla events, including employee appreciation days and other celebrations.
    7. Problem Solving: Address and resolve any arising issues or conflicts, liaising with Tesla management as required.
    8. Site Cleanliness and Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure the food service areas are well-maintained and meet hygiene standards.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree is preferred.
    • Prior experience in coordination or management roles, ideally within the food service industry.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Skillful in multitasking and managing diverse vendors.
    • Proficiency in basic computer applications (Email, MS Office Suite).
    • Familiarity with local health and safety regulations applicable to food services.

    Additional Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Regular communication with all food service vendors.
    • Conduct frequent checks at vendor locations within the Tesla facility.
    • Ensure adherence to quality and food safety standards.
    • Maintain a harmonious relationship between food vendors and Tesla contacts.
    • Organize and oversee monthly catering events and specific catering requests.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Availability for communication (calls/texts/emails) Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm PT.
    • Full-time onsite presence at Tesla, working 5 days per week, 8:30 am - 1:30 pm.
    • Participation in regular virtual meetings with City Flavor and Tesla.
    • Competency in City Flavor management software and G Suite tools.
    • Ability to be mobile and on foot for several hours each day.
    • Experience with food truck companies is a plus.
    • Strong skills in customer/relationship management.
