    Description
    Sto-Rox Neighborhood Health Council (SRNHC) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated physician to join our team and help us fulfill our mission of providing quality, exceptional healthcare to individuals in our community. The ideal candidate is passionate about serving vulnerable communities, committed to addressing healthcare disparities, and capable of providing comprehensive medical care to individuals of all ages.

    SRNHC is a comprehensive Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing patient-centered care demonstrating Healthcare with a Heart. The physician will be a core member of the Hilltop patient care team located at 151 Ruth Street in Mount Washington, Pittsburgh, PA Full and part-time candidates are invited to apply.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Providing diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, and referrals for patients of all ages with various health conditions
    • Performing physical examinations, conducting, and interpreting diagnostic tests, and prescribing medications.
    • Educating patients on health and illness prevention, chronic disease management, and healthy habits.
    • Working collaboratively with other health care providers, such as nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, licensed clinical social workers, and dentists.
    • Participating in quality improvement, peer review, staff education, and patient satisfaction activities.
    • Maintaining professional competence and certification by completing continuing medical education requirements.
    • Participate in shared on-call services.
    Qualifications:
    • Current, unencumbered license, to practice medicine in the State of Pennsylvania
    • Current, unencumbered, DEA license to prescribe medications in the State of Pennsylvania
    • Board Certification required
    • Required Clearances: Act 79 FBI Act 34 Criminal Clearance Act 33 Child Clearance
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
    • Professional appearance and demeanor.
    • Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
    • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
    • Computer skills: Experience working with EHR Electronic Health Information Systems.
