- Will use expertise in manipulating and presenting data using Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications, coordinating teamwork products, and leading teams.
- You will work on the Guidehouse Commercial Healthcare team driving margin and operational improvement at client provider organizations through a combination of data and business process analysis, project management, and deliverable creation.
- You will quickly develop subject matter expertise and business acumen to become a recognized, credible, and trusted partner to our clients.
- You will use curiosity and enthusiasm with client and Guidehouse teams to assess and implement performance improvement opportunities and savings initiatives relevant in the hospital environment.
- You will concisely articulate financial results of projects and speak about process measures.
- You will identify key industry issues and assist to develop practice response.
- You will assist in delivering statements of work, project plans, proposals, and present to client department managers or leaders in certain situations.
- You will actively work to expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and interaction with clients.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree ideally in nursing or other clinical degree from an accredited college (work experience in EVS or bed management may be considered in lieu of a clinical degree)
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience working within a large healthcare provider setting focused on capacity management, patient flow, bed management, inpatient nursing, transfer, command center operations or strong understanding of patient movement
- Demonstrate a deep knowledge of hospital and health system operations
- Able to benchmark data and leverage that data to assist clients in redesigning operational processes to drive efficiency, including creation of standard work
- Prior work experience focused on hospital throughput improvements
- Ability to conduct relevant research, understand analytics, and draw conclusions / make relevant recommendations based on analyses performed - (including a basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Open to heavy work-related travel in the 75% range
- Prior experience delivering programs in a consulting environment; driving complex, multi-faceted, multi-site application/operational change and clinical improvement programs
- Strong client leadership skills and ability to sell add-on work and recognize business development opportunities
- Demonstrated ability to work in challenging situations
- Ability to complete projects with attention to detail on tight timelines
- Assures high quality work by taking advantage of learning opportunities and is self-motivated
- Aptitude to develop foundational training materials
- Comfortable interfacing with hospital executives to report findings and recommend solutions that align with leading practice
- Interpersonal and communication skills with ability to facilitate the exchange of information at all levels internally, as well as with a clinician-based client department, including, but not limited to, physicians, nurses, hospital executives, and other professional and ancillary staff
- Experience with project management of complex hospital operations projects
- Familiarity with IT solutions and tech-enabled solutions which are integral to enabling efficiency and appropriate to quality and throughput of care
