Primary Purpose of Position
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, ScD, EdD) in health education, health promotion, public health, or a closely related field at the time of employment.
Teaching experience or demonstrated potential for success in teaching undergraduate courses.
Ability to engage in research and scholarly activities (e.g., peer-reviewed publications and research funding).
Expertise in one or more of the aforementioned areas.
Established record of research and scholarly activity.
Previous teaching experience.
Previous health education/public health experience.
Professional association involvement.
Record of community engagement.
Public health or health education certification is desirable (i.e. CHES, MCHES, CPH).
Minimum Education/Experience
Licenses or Certification required by Statute or Regulation
CHES eligible
