RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administering aerosol therapy, chest physical therapy, and oximetry evaluations to non-critical patients
Performing Basic Life Support activities
Teaching and demonstrating respiratory care activities to patients and their representatives
Cleaning, assembling, setting up, and maintaining equipment and supplies
Performing non-invasive respiratory care procedures as ordered under the supervision of a licensed Respiratory Therapist

QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Currently enrolled in an AMA approved respiratory care program and completed one semester. Active student status must be maintained and documented. Must submit a letter of recommendation from Program Director for consideration of employment.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Must have completed a student respiratory floor therapy rotation
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:

None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Current certification in BLS required. Must be actively practicing and maintaining all required respiratory care competencies. ACLS required post-completion of the second semester of the respiratory care program or within 60 days of hire.
