- Diagnosing, treating and managing patients with urological diseases per standard, usual and acceptable or customary methods and techniques in the outpatient setting.
- Treatment of genitourinary medical conditions
- Performing outpatient surgical procedures
- Providing consultations, work ups, and pre-& postoperative care.
- Establishing professional working relationships with other clinical service providers within the center and outlying Community Base Outpatient Clinics (CBOCS)
- Providing telephone and e-consultations
- Consultations as needed and screening consults that are received for appropriateness prior to scheduling.

Summary
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Annual salary listed is based on Full-Time, 40 hour work week. Part-Time Salary will be prorated based on hours worked per pay period.
Paid Time Off: 1 hour per each 10-hours in a pay status.
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)
Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification)
Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided
Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting
Duties will include but are not limited to:
The Urologist shall be expected to cooperate with and participate in medical duties or functions related to quality of care, peer review, improvement and with other performance improvement activities at the direction of the Chief, Surgery Service, and the Chief of Staff.
Work Schedule: Part-time hours, 16 hours per week. Facility hours are Monday - Friday between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm
