    Job Description:

    Taylor Nelson PL is a multi-office, national transportation and logistics law firm with an immediate opening for a full-time Paralegal. The Paralegal will assist attorney(s) by providing clerical and research support services including document preparation and review; assist with interviewing clients and witnesses; research, investigations, and fact checking; and trial preparation.     Duties and Responsibilities

    • Support litigation practice and specialty dispute practices
    • Know and maintain files
    • Work with attorneys to monitor and follow up with clients, keep work flowing forward
    • Delegate administrative tasks and calendaring to staff when possible
    • Willingness to understand the business of transportation and how to support our clients
    • Assist multiple attorneys with litigated, non-litigated, corporate, and administrative proceeding matters throughout the State of Florida and elsewhere.
    • Contribute to special projects and initiatives.
    • Assist with daily tasks and filings.
    • Create tasks and calendar notifications, with reminders, for appointments and court deadlines.
    • Keep document storage software organized and set an example for others. Take charge of organization at all levels.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters.
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    Education and Experience:

    • At least 5-10 years' experience in paralegal work
    • Associate degree in Paralegal Studies, Business, or related field preferred, Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred.
    • Paralegal certificate a plus.
    • Civil litigation experience required.

    Pay

    Start: $70,000
