    Description

    As a Civil Construction Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating Engineering, Construction, Project Management & Quality Control in the completion of project construction execution plans, engineering and permits and project construction monitoring.

    The duties include supporting construction efforts and resolving technical issues that come up in the field. You will be a vital part of the team setting quality and control monitoring project engineering coordination execution.

    Coordinate prep meetings, initial inspections, follow-up inspections, and punch list final inspections Involved with the resolution of design challenges that may include performing field investigation or observations and when necessary, resolving discrepancies between multiple sources of informationReviews plans and specifications for constructability, safety, and risk management considerationsMaintains a value engineering mindset throughout development, design, and constructionApplies current, standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to complete engineering tasks, and supports other civil, structural, and electrical design workflows as necessary on a case-by-case basisPerform technical due diligence for RFPs or similar as required by official response documents.

    Verify or identify key requirements, to provide most appropriate solution or responseMaking determinations for equipment viability based on civil project considerations such as topography, Geotech report results, SWPPP, and easementsDevelops plans, specifications, and observation reports that are complete, accurate and in accordance with sound utility-scale solar engineering practicesRecommends alterations to development criteria and design features to improve qualityWorks closely with clients to understand nuanced technical needs and identify best feasible solutionsCommunication skills for overseeing staff and working with other management personnelOrganization, flexibility, customer focus and strong communication are critical in performing duties which include:Providing Pre-Construction SupportEvaluate project design and engineering documents, handling their organization and distribution to necessary partiesPerform project specific tasks in preparation of Pre-Mobilization Kickoff MeetingsAssist in drafting purchase authorizationsLeading all aspect necessary for construction SupportManage the quality assurance and quality control process as delineated in the project quality planHandle Civil & Mechanical, 'electrical, and plumbing' coordination drawings, shop and as-built drawingsCoordinate creation of lift and formwork drawingsAdministering Closeout ProcessesCompile turnover documentation for specific projects deliverables and transfer to customer per the project specific quality planAssist Project Engineer and Project Manager with getting contract documents closed out with subcontractors and suppliersSupport the final inspections and punch list process with the customer for specific responsibilitiesOther Duties as assigned, including:Participation in project safety auditsQualificationsCE degree from an accredited institution5+ years of solar civil / mechanical experience requiredStrong organization and communication skills

    Software Familiarity:
    AutoCAD and MS Office required; design software a plusDemonstrate a practical and functional knowledge of municipal codesMust be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areasAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, reports#J-18808-Ljbffr
