Seasonal Engineering Equipment Operator - Bar Harbor

Job summary
The typical seasonal period is May through November but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding Operates full range of track and wheel mounted engineering equipment such as motor grader, front end loader, bulldozer, excavator, backhoe, snow plows, sander and dump truck Performs typical duties such as grade roads and building sites push material into piles load and drive trucks dig trenches clear sites of brush Moves equipment from site to site using truck and trailer Digs and cleans ditches Installs culverts with outlets inlets and head walls Removes trims trees Chips bucks hauls down wood using chain saws chippers chip trucks Assists with maintenance repair of equipment Operates small equipment hand tools such as chains saws chipper brusher shovels rakes Performs general maintenance work such as erecting signs repairing fence cutting vegetation cleaning ditch Leads work of lower graded employees at times- Able to do the work of position without more than normal supervision SCREEN OUT Able to interpret instructions specifications etc related to mobile equipment operation Operation of motor vehicles Work practices includes keeping things neat clean in order Ability to drive safely Motor Vehicles Ability to drive safely Non-Motor Vehicles Reliability dependability Engineering Equipment Operator If knowledge ability SCREEN OUT factor above not sufficient will receive no further consideration In preparing application describe detail experience training specifically prepared job perform duties described for this job Experience should be clearly described documented resume Qualifications reviewer will not assume performance Job Titles alone Address knowledge skills abilities areas shown job-related factors Must meet level SCREEN OUT factor element average level all factors elements p>
