- Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and various schedules for quarterly 10-Q and annual 10-K filings.
- Preparation various banking regulatory reports, including the quarterly Call and FRY Report schedules.
- Prepare various schedules for internal reporting requirements including the monthly Board package and investor relations materials.
- Coordinate with other members of the accounting department and other departments to obtain and review schedules for the preparation of internal and external reports.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements for dissemination to management, directors, external auditors, and regulatory agencies.
- Prepare and review various schedules and reports for internal users and external auditors, and assist in the audit of financial statements and related footnotes.
- Assist with the 401K financial statement audit and 11-K preparation.
- Review and analyze the Banks consolidated financial statement.
- Design reporting templates through various query tools including PeopleSoft to facilitate both internal and external reporting needs.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses and projects as needed.
- At least 2 years public accounting and/or 3-4 years public company financial reporting experience
- Solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and concepts
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills.
- CPA license preferred
- Banking/financial institution experience preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work well in a team
- Bachelors degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and at least 2 years public accounting and/or 3-4 years financial reporting experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skill. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write: reports, business correspondence and procedural memos.
