    GENERAL DESCRIPTION

    This position is responsible for servicing customers in a professional manner and be an ambassador for American Aluminum Extrusion Company as well as ensuring the customer's product is transported and delivered in a professional manner without incident.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
    • Conducts inspections before and during trips to ensure safe working conditions of the tractor (truck) and trailer.
    • Communicates all maintenance problems to the fleet mechanic and management.
    • Responsible for maintaining, cleanliness, appearance, and the safe operation of all Commercial Delivery vehicles on a daily and weekly basis.

    REQUIRED SKILLS
    • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
    • Must meet the Department of Transportation DOT and Company mental and physical requirements.
    • Must be physically and mentally able to safely perform the essential functions without obvious risk of injury to the employee, co-workers and general public.
    • Must have a Class B or C CDL with active emphasis on obtaining Class A CDL with appropriate endorsements from the state where you reside. Timeframe to be discussed during interview.
    • Must have at minimum 2 years CDL with Interstate Commerce experience.
    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
    • Exposure to all types of temperatures.
    • Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping, bending, lifting and reaching overhead.
    • Physical strength sufficient to move parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
    • Sufficient manual dexterity required to perform job properly.
    • High degree of care required to operate in a safe manner.
    • Appropriate safety equipment is necessary.
    • Overtime hours may be required.
    • Requires morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week. Occasional overnight deliveries.
    • There may be regular exposure to mild discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes, odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts and bright lights. Typically located in a warehouse setting.
