- Create and continuously improve EH&S and business continuity related management system documentation (programs, policies, procedures, process maps, forms, checklists, risk registers, etc.)
- Routinely collaborate with operational sites, construction sites and back-office personnel across various departments to monitor and measure risks, identify organizational weaknesses, and capitalize on improvement opportunities
- Assist other Associates with project management responsibilities related to innovation / continuous improvement projects within the scope of EHS&S and business continuity
- Assist other Associates with performance reporting responsibilities related to EHS&S
- Undergo Lead Auditor training and perform EHS&S management system audits on RWECE locations
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Performance & Governance Sr. Manager based on the requirements and needs of the business
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Quality Management, Engineering or a closely related field of study; OR
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of Health & Safety, Quality Management, Engineering or a closely related field
- Microsoft 365, Word, Visio, and Excel
- Demonstrated competency in Health & Safety, Quality Management, Engineering, or a closely related field
- Strong knowledge in North American administrative law, consensus standards, and 'IBR' standards
- Proficient in the use of common digital business applications and tools such as Microsoft 365, Word, Visio, Excel, etc
- Fundamental business management knowledge and skills
- Effective in preparing and presenting information to leadership, as well as internal and external customers, stakeholders, etc. across the organization
- Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to influence stakeholders in order to gain a desired result
- Strong initiative and self-confidence to find solutions and solve problems independently
- Reliable and systematic manner of working, customer orientation, resilience with being able to centrally manage multiple stakeholder expectations

The Associate, Performance and Governance positionwill contribute to the development, maintenance, measurement, and optimization of the RWE Clean Energy, LLC. (RWECE) EH&S Management System and its corresponding digital performance tools, community page(s), interfaces, etc.
This role will routinely involve the management system auditing and the creation & revision of EH&S and business continuity related programs, policies, procedures, forms, checklists, etc. in accordance with internal requirements, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice.
The individual in this Associate role must possess demonstrable knowledge, skills, experience, discernment and interpersonal abilities directly related to EH&S (environmental protection, health, safety & physical security) management and business management.

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $72,500 - $108,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
