    Job Responsibilities
    (Internal Title :
    Intermediate Controls Engineer)
    Primary work location will be in Troy, Michigan - USA or Windsor, Ontario - Canada with frequent travel to Mexico (Saltillo and Toluca)
    Flexibility to travel and work in Mexico on a 2-week frequency per time
    Provide support for all plant floor-related, automation control-based systems supported
    Support automation execution teams and plants with technical issues resolution, providing technical direction, creating and maintaining common processes and procedures, and driving continuous improvement
    Support implementation of system changes, daily plant activities relating to these systems, and system management, including the implementation of standards and incident management
    Perform implementation and 1st level support of mission-critical plant floor systems; including functional knowledge of all plant floor control systems used by local plants
    Troubleshoot system issues, debug associated code and hardware, manage, and configure system servers, and configure driver and client interfaces including Multi-platform PLC, HMI programming, EPLAN, Ethernet and DeviceNet networks and Cloud Based Technologies
    Perform the development, testing, and piloting of advanced process technology
    Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned
    Qualifications Required

    Minimum 3 years of experience as a Controls Engineer, Programmer, or Technician
    Bachelors degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or Information Technology (IT) or a degree in a related field is required
    Experience working in a manufacturing facility/assembly plant is preferred
    Extensive Knowledge of plant floor systems (i.e. Error Proofing, Andon, UD&C, Throughput, Material Call, etc.)
    Extensive experience in Multi-platform PLC, HMI programming, EPLAN, Ethernet, and DeviceNet networks and Cloud Based Technologies
    Working knowledge of IT systems (i.e. GSIP, GEPICS, GPM&C, MASS, etc.)
    Demonstrated analytical ability, communication, and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues
