    Summary Statement

    Support the portable dental operations, engage with the community, and manage clinic operations. Responsibilities include entering patient information and services into electronic dental records and spreadsheets, dental hygiene support, supply preparation, patient education, infection control, and much more.

    Essential Functions

    Essential functions are key responsibilities that apply to all positions in this class. Check out some of the essential tasks:

    • Support dentists and dental hygienists during various dental procedures.
    • Help maintain cleanliness during dental procedures.
    • Prepare and manage dental materials and instruments.
    • Take and develop radiographs.
    • Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and equipment.
    • Organize and upkeep dental instruments and equipment.
    • Provide patient education on oral hygiene.
    • Manage patient records and scheduling.
    • Keep dental records updated and accurate.
    • Manage clinic supplies and inventory.
    • Assist in training dental assistant trainees and volunteers.

    Job Requirements

    Key Requirements for Dental Assistant
    Applicants should demonstrate competence in the following areas:

    • Hold a Delaware Dental Radiation Technician Certification or a Dental Radiation Technologist Certification from the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB).
    • Possess a valid Driver's License without any restrictions.
