    Quality Inspector 2 – Non-exempt

    About the Company:

    Hanwha Aerospace USA is a leading developer and supplier of flight-critical aerospace/defense components and assemblies.

    Job Summary:

    This position performs 1st piece, in-process, and final inspections on aircraft engine components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, customer requirements, and company specifications.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Inspect major rotating components such as disks, shafts, air seals drums, and hubs for visual, dimensional, and finish quality.
    • Determine inspection procedures to verify specifications and dimensions.
    • Operate measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, swing gauges, etc. to check parts for conformance.
    • Reject unacceptable items, document nonconformances, and move parts to the quality clinic.
    • Complete required company paperwork on machined parts inspection activity.
    • Collaborate with shop personnel to set up gages and perform in-process inspections.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • 3+ years' experience as an aerospace part inspector or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Expert knowledge of blueprint reading and machinery limitations.
    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
    • Visual acuity to read machine dials, gages, Op sheets, and precision measuring equipment.
