- High school education or GED. Knowledge of hospital, infection control, and medical terminology is highly desirable. 2. Must successfully achieve National Certification within one year of employment through the CBSPD, INC Organization. 4. Description
Reporting to the supervisor of the Central Processing Department (CPD), the Instrument Technician I is responsible for all the decontamination, assembly and sterilization of all general instrumentation used throughout MEEI.
The Instrument Technician I must be able to assemble case carts with the supplies and instrumentation as required by the surgical pick list.
Must be able to maintain a high level of accuracy in the products.
