Credit Specialist - Honolulu, United States - Servco Pacific

Description

The Credit Specialist monitors what has been contracted, invoiced, and paid. He/she works closely with operations and customers to resolve discrepancies; Receipt payments for credit customers; researches credit history on new customer accounts and makes recommendations for approval or not; and reviews customer accounts that are past due/over the credit limit.

Responsibilities:

• Monitors unpaid invoices and maintain relationship with assigned customers to maximize collections efforts.
• Processes commercial credit applications, research credit history and make recommendation of credit approval.
• Prepares & monitors Corporate Aging reports for management
• Reconciles accounts receivable related to the General Ledger and works closely with operations and customers to resolve discrepancies
• Review and reconcile customer accounts that are past due or over the credit limit.
• Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum three to five years of credit and collections work experience involving following up with financial institutions and customer for payments
• Minimum 2 years of general accounting experience, including reconciliations and revenue accounting
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel and Adobe Acrobat
• Typing 35 wpm
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical, detail oriented, customer savvy, organized, and professional
