Description:
Essential functions: (general purpose and job responsibilities)
• Operate manual and/or computer-controlled saws (ID, wire, C&C) to cut LSO crystal material from boules and/or slabs.
• Install rollers as needed
• Service and maintenance of all saws.
• Evaluate and log sawing failure rates for trend analysis
• Additional duties include bonding material to be cut.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Qualifications/Basic Position Requirements: (education, experience, licenses, etc.)
• Machinist apprentice or mechanical QC experience required.
• Basic Machining skills required
• 3-5 years' experience in the use of dial indicators, calipers and other machine measuring tools.
• Must be able to read detailed mechanical drawings.
• Basic computer operational skills required.
• Attention to documentation detail is a necessity.
