    Description

    Job Title: Tax Accountant

    Location: West Point, GA

    Compensation: $70,000-$90,000 Total Compensation

    Job Type: Full Time

    What Were Looking For:

    Graduates with a Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field, eager to dive into the tax and accounting profession.

    Individuals with an understanding of/interest in technical tax laws and regulations.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access; SAP system familiarity is a plus but not required.

    Candidates who are detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

    Enthusiasm for learning and a willingness to engage in both independent and collaborative work.

    What Youll Be Doing:

    Assist in the preparation of Personal Property Tax (PPT) returns, 1099, 1042, and sales/use tax returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

    Support the filing of federal and state payroll tax returns, unclaimed property reports, fuel tax refund forms, and sales/use exemption forms.

    Help with account reconciliations, journal entries, and budget preparations while gaining exposure to fixed asset reporting and tax credit documentation.

    Collaborate with experienced tax professionals to resolve tax audits and enhance your problem-solving skills.

    Participate in internal and external tax projects, involving research, data collection, and effective communication with stakeholders.

    Learn to navigate the complexities of tax administration, from preparing documentation to ensuring compliance with regulations.
