    ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll do...Do you desire to be an electrical hardware engineer with emphasis in digital design? You will be part of an engineering team working on next generation modules for vehicles.

    The successful candidate will be working with a design team to implement circuits, validate circuit implementations, analyze and resolve hardware failures.

    You will be responsible to meet Ford's quality, on time and maintaining cost targets.


    You will:


    Design High Speed digital circuits to meet section requirementsDesign circuits using industry standard schematic capture toolsLayout implementation of responsible subsectionDesign complex high-speed signals that meet impedance requirementsPerform worst case analysis of circuits in area of responsibilityGenerate documentation that defines processor pin assignmentsDevelop detailed design documentsPerform failure mode analysis and generate process documentationDefine stress test routines required to validate functional sectionsDesign communication links between the processor, other internal subsections and external modulesFormulate test plans to ensure component level performanceValidate testing to ensure performance over temperature and voltage extremesHandle Root cause and resolve issues in assigned sectionsParticipate in system design reviewsInterface closely with other teams such as Software, Mechanical, Manufacturing teams and with external component suppliersMust be willing to travel occasionallyQualificationsYou'll have...Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.

    6+ months of experience with Hardware or Embedded Software systems (internship and coursework allowed)

    Even better, you may have...Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering.
    Knowledgeable on microprocessors, solid state memory, cameras, displays and sensors.

    Solid understanding of industry standard interfaces (e.g., LVDS, DDR, PCI, I2C and Ethernet, etc.)Excellent hardware and software debugging skillsFamiliar with test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, temperature chambers, time-domain reflectometers, precision power meters, etc.)Motivated and self-starterCollaboration and leadership skillsAbility to communicate effectively with business users and engineering professionals (e.g.

    globally distributed teams, ability to adjust communications appropriately for the audience, work with all levels of management and diverse work groups, etc.)
