    Job Description

    JOB OVERVIEW:

    Material Handlers perform necessary handling of materials at both the beginning and end of the production process.

    SHIFTS AVAILABLE:

    2nd shift: Mon-Fri, 2pm-10pm

    BENEFITS:

    WHAT YOU GET TO DO AS A MATERIAL HANDLER:
    • Receive materials and unload using forklift equipment, following the 1st In/1st Out system and move to proper locations
    • Verify accuracy of paperwork vs. received material and enter and allocate into the MRP system (SAP)
    • Verify acceptance of material by QA via certification and document appropriately
    • Provide documentation of material delivery to appropriate departments
    • Move to stock machines (substrates) and return rolls and materials to storage
    • Move finished goods to labelling area and complete labelling
    • Place materials into appropriate racks and document locations on slitter tickets
    • Maintain location system
    • Complete staging and shipping tasks including pulling orders, move to staging area, checking orders and loading trucks
    • Assist if needed in inventory of raw materials monthly (this may involve working odd hours) and involvement in recounts
    • Follow all safety policies and practices
    • Conduct cycle counts and other miscellaneous tasks as required
    WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU:
    • 2+ years of experience operating a forklift (preferably stand-up lift) preferred
    • Basic knowledge of truck capacities, warehouse flow and production process environment (FIFO) location system knowledge preferred
    • Basic mechanical ability
    • Solid communication and teamwork skills
    • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule of up to 12-hour shifts
