    Position Overview:
    We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team at thyssenkrupp nucera.

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for engaging all aspects of our accounting and financial operations, preparing financial statements and reports, and supporting the entire team in ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.


    Supervisory Responsibilities:
    None.

    Duties/Responsibilities:
    Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions.
    Performs general cost accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
    Review journal entries to ensure accuracy.
    Reconciles accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
    Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
    Coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the external audit.
    Files required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
    Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities:
    Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
    Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
    Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards
    Highly proficient with accounting software and ERP system
    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

    Education and Experience:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required
    8-years or more of related experience required
    Certified Public Accountant designation preferred

    Physical Requirements:
    Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
