    Job Title: Baby Buffs Daycare Director
    Reports to: Deputy Superintendent/KBECA Principal
    Site: Karla Brock Early Childhood Academy

    Qualifications:
    1. Current Oklahoma Director Credentials required;
    2. First Aid and CPR Certification;
    3. Master Teacher Certification.
    4. Must pass an Oklahoma Department of Education Background check.
    Education: Degree in Early childhood Education or directly related field experience.

    Training or Experience required: At least Three years of child care center operations and/or classroom experience.

    Job Summary: Primary responsibility is to manage the daily operations of Baby Buffs employee daycare center following the Department of Human Services and McAlester Public Schools guidelines.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    1. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to staff, students, children, families and other employees of organizations.
    2. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation.
    Essential Job Functions (Performance Expectations):
    Include the following, but not limited to:
    1. Ensure Oklahoma Department of Human Services child Care Licensing standards are met and provide additional measures to establish best practices within Oklahoma Stars Rating system.
    2. Ensure all records and documents, including CACFP, DHS training and compliance documentation, and daily business transactions are kept current and meet compliance for audits and reviews by funding/regulatory agencies.
    3. Research, write and assist with applications for grants and other opportunities for funding quality improvements initiatives,
    4. Provide leadership, direction, training, supervision, evaluation, and appropriate disciplinary measures to Baby Buffs daycare staff in accordance with School Policies.
    5. Maintains ongoing communication with Karla Brock Early Childhood Academy Principal in regards to daily staff schedules duty assignments, substitute schedules, and staff meetings.
    6. Maintains a system that ensures opportunities for quality family communications to include conferences family meetings, and newsletters.
    7. Maintains a commitment to the program. Attends conferences, meetings, special events, staff development opportunities.
    8. Maintains a professional attitude of confidentiality.
    9. Maintains a professional appearance by adhering to the center dress code.
    10. Perform other duties as assigned by Karla Brock Early Childhood Academy, require some evening or weekend work

    Supervision Exercised:
    Performs administrative functions such as planning, directing work, solving problems, advising subordinates, making decisions, and interpreting policy.

    Physical/mental Requirements and Working Conditions:
    1. Maintain emotional control under stress.
    2. Work with frequent interruptions.
    3. Occasional district wide trave. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours, frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling
    4. Prolonged use of computer and repetitive hand motions.
    5. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
    Terms of Employment: Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the district: 11 months

    Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board and local policy on evaluation of personnel.
