Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Location: Arkansas (AR)

Position Type: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Start Date: August 2024

Description: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for the school year. As a Special Education Teacher, you will work with students who have a range of disabilities and learning needs, providing specialized instruction and support to help them succeed academically and socially.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities
• Provide direct instruction to students using evidence-based practices and differentiated instruction techniques
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other school professionals to support student learning and development
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and progress towards IEP goals
• Participate in team meetings, professional development activities, and school events as required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Valid Arkansas teaching license with Special Education endorsement
• Experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
