Job summary
The Manager of Special Events is responsible for the logistics management and execution of AKF's signature fundraising events including A Night Out: Supporting the Living Donor Assistance Program, the New York Golf Classic, A Pairing for Prevention, and supporting The Hope Affair gala.This position works closely with the Senior Director of Special Events and the Director of Special Events on these events. This position will be required to be in person at the office in Rockville, MD on average once a week.
- Manage all preparatory administrative functions for signature events.
- Coordinate venue catering décor entertainment AV parking valet and other vendor services.
- Lead communicate event timelines production schedules serve as main point contact vendors staff volunteers ensure aspects event run smoothly efficiently support Senior Director Director Special Events run-show speaker management track budget accurate invoice processing accounting work special brand marketing teams communications fulfill sponsor benefits include save dates invitations social media promotions recaps thank you emails letters provide direction guidance training event staff volunteers source hotel arrangements travel guidance oversee registration table training guest checkin attend internal committee meetings relating events support Senior Director Special Events management Hope Affair serving secondary point contact vendors guests.
