    Summary

    Our client, a biochemistry analytical company, has engaged GForce Life Sciences to provide a staff analytical scientist. This position will report to the Director of Process Technology.

    The Staff Analytical Scientist is a key position that will help develop various analytical tools for complex biological assays. A variety of qualitative and quantitative chromatographic (LC), and electrophoretic (CE) analyses are the key underpinning of these analytical tools. The Staff Analytical Scientist will be part of a team involved in DNA/RNA analysis, sample preparation, method development, data analysis, and instrument development. The scientist will assess nucleic acid and protein pharmaceuticals in biological extracts using liquid chromatography (LC), and electrophoresis (CE).

    This individual will independently handle duties including ordering the requisite supplies for their work, assisting in the maintenance of the laboratory and equipment being used, establishing, and maintaining reports on their research findings, and producing presentations for participation in team meetings.

    Duties / Expectations of Role

    • DNA/RNA Analysis
    • Perform various applications by using LC, and CE
    • Collaboration with cross-functional product line directors and scientists
    • Assist LC and CE-based method development under supervision.
    • Maintain laboratory and equipment.
    • Keep detailed daily records of research activities.

    Mandatory Requirements

    • BS/MS in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry or Chemical Engineering
    • 8+ years working in a laboratory setting with at least 1 being in a commercial lab.
    • 2+ years of recent DNA/RNA analysis
    • Experience in nucleic acid analyses by chromatography (LC) and electrophoresis (CE), Endonuclease, Monoclonal Antibodies
    • Product and Project development training
    • Chromatography and separation technology applications
    • Organic chemistry synthesis background is preferred

    Term & Start

    • 6+ month contract with a strong possibility of extension and/or conversion to permanent
    • Start ASAP
    • Full-time (40 hours/week)
    • Onsite in Indiana
