    Building Coordinator

    Position based in our NYC Corporate Office (not remote, travel required)

    RESPONSABILITIES:

    · Being part of our construction department to collaborate in the coordination of ongoing construction store projects.

    · As part of the construction team at the office, to be the liaison between parties involved, including but not limited to the general contractors, Construction Department in HQ (Spain), real estate, financial and legal and facilities management.

    · Collaboration on various improvement projects (staff area renewal, furniture update, painting of the stores, etc.)

    RESPONSABILITIES RELATED TO NEW OPENNINGS:

    · Construction site visits (frequent and regular travel required to various work sites on an as needed basis).

    · Review zoning & project layouts with ZARA USA teams. Communicate and manage all modifications requested to Construction and design teams.

    · Support Real Estate department along with Licenses and technical department HQ in Spain.

    · Support to management of utilities and maintenance contracts.

    · Support construction site in all issues related with Zara USA: coordination and support to all departments and vendors (US and Spanish) involved in the new store construction/opening process.

    · To assist on site the openings of the new stores to Zara USA.

    · Prepare a punch list report and track the solution of every issue with the construction department.

    RESPONSABILITIES RELATED TO MINOR CONSTRUCTION WORKS:

    · Survey the stores in order to verify the actual needs of any intervention.

    · Ensure communication between all the departments involved. Specifically, you will coordinate the communication between HQ Minor works department, with commercial and local teams.

    · Keep track of schedule and communicate milestones to commercial team and other affected departments.

    · Procurement. Look for vendors to carry out the works in due time & cost

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    · BSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant field

    · 5 years of experience as retail construction project manager

    · Fluent in English and Spanish (Mandatory)

    · In-depth understanding of retail construction and fit-out procedures and project management principles

    · Outstanding communication and negotiation skills and ability to build constructive and effective relationships. A person that relates well to all kinds of people up, down and sideways inside and outside the organization.

    · Solid knowledge of HVAC, electricity and other architectural aspects

    · Good knowledge of MS Office, Autocad & Revit (BIM methodology user)

    *Annual compensation range: $122,000 - $202,000
