    8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

    Salary Exempt position.

    The Nurse Manager is responsible for managing daily operations of the medical/surgical unit at Holton Community Hospital. As this position supervises a 24/7 operation, the Nurse Manager is expected to be available and visible to staff on both day and night shift, flexing the work hours two days per week to see night shift. This manager works closely in conjunction with the ED Manager, as staff in these departments are cross-trained and serve patients in both areas. This position will also oversee nursing education, coordinating the ACLS, BLS, PALS, and other educational requirements for staff. Achieving ACLS & PALS instructor status is expected within one year of hire.

    The Nurse Manager is proficient in personnel management and leadership skills. The Nurse Manager strives to ensure the Med/Surg Nursing department delivers the highest quality care while sustaining an environment wherein HCH is the employer of choice for nursing staff in the region. The Nurse Manager should be organized, emotionally intelligent, and have a keen ability for time management.

    Requirements

    • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, Master's degree preferred.
    • 3 years nursing experience required.
    • 1 year nursing leadership/supervisory experience preferred.
    • Current RN license in Kansas or multi-state compact license
    • ACLS (including a BLS component), PALS, and TNCC certifications.
